Taking up piano at the age of four, Heloísa Fernandes has been a force ever since. A student of famed pianists Paulo Gori and Gilberto Tinetti, she cultivated her taste for classical music under their mentorship and in 2001, was a finalist in Brazil’s leading musical competition—the Prêmio Visade Música Brasileira. Her original compositions are profoundly influenced by literature, poetry, nature, classical music, jazz and Brazilian music.
