SINGER/SONGWRITER

Chris Ruiz is an American singer/songwriter who's solo music caters to fans of Jose Gonzales, Jack Johnson, Mac Demarco, and Shakey Graves. He is the frontman and rhythm guitarist of Natural Motives; a 6 piece alt-indie/neo-funk rock band based in Boulder, Colorado.
Originally from East Chicago, IN - Chris began teaching himself how to sing, write, and play guitar at the age of 15 after moving to Tampa, FL with his family and discovering The Beatles. His debut solo acoustic performance was in 2009 at The Orpheum in Ybor City and has since played countless venues & events across the US; solo acoustic and with his band, Natural Motives. He currently lives in Boulder, Colorado.
His debut acoustic album titled, 'Heavy Eyes' was released 04/07/24 on all streaming platforms just before his first solo acoustic tour in Europe this Spring 2024.
