A post-punk Rush spiked with the sensibility and humor of Frank Zappa, Primus' songs are often secondary to showcasing their instrumental prowess. Led by elastic bassist and sole constant member Les Claypool, their music is willfully weird and experimental.

I actually went Thursday night. It was awesome seeing all 3 of those bands on stage together. I only wish I would’ve bought tickets for Friday night too. I’m so glad I got see this show at red rocks, that’s an amazing experience. Little bit of Colorado weather but that’s how it goes. Not a big deal didn’t last long. I was very impressed with how well they sounded live!!! It was great if you didn’t go. That sucks because it was amazing!

Primus Biography
Primus is a rock band formed in California in the mid-1980s by two ex-members of thrash metal band Blind Illusion, Les Claypool and Larry Lalonde. Les (vocals and bass guitar) has been the only constant member. They have had two guitar players (although Larry has held onto the role for the past 16 years) and many different drummers (although Tim Alexander and Bryan Mantia were the only ones who recorded with the band, and Jay Lane was the only other one who had creative impact) in the past.
