Brother Oliver Biography
Brother Oliver is an award-winning rock band from Greenville, South Carolina. Known for their psychedelic / folk-rock stylings, they were one of the early pioneers of electrifying the mandolin through effects, and were on the leading edge of the brewery-boom music circuit.
Brother Oliver has shared the stage with iconic acts—The Steve Miller Band, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, SUSTO, of Montreal, and many more.
The band has been critically acclaimed by major outlets such as HuffPost, American Songwriter, PopMatters—and their music has been featured in Film & TV soundtracks on HBO and PBS.
The brothers, Andrew P. Oliver and Stephen Oliver, star in the new movie How To Break A World Record—an action packed documentary about the band's attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the longest marathon playing mandolin—out now on Apple TV.
