Ryan Petitjean

Ryan Petitjean is a singer/songwriter from North East England. He started singing as a child after receiving a karaoke machine for Christmas in 2007, although he wouldn't pursue music for another 10 years. For an 18th birthday present, he got a booking at a local recording studio and was hooked after the first session. Something which initially was for fun turned into the 'Covers' EP - his first release. Followed by a cover of ‘Someone You Loved’ shortly after. These have now amassed over 3 million online streams. Once the covers started to receive traction and praise, he decided it was time to write, record and release some original music - something he didn't think he was capable of for a long time. But once he started he couldn't stop and he spent 2021/2022 writing countless songs, both with friends and alone and experimenting with different topics and sounds, most of these will never see the light of day but it was key in building his confidence in his ability honing his songwriting skills. One of the songs to make it out of these writing sessions was his debut single ‘Criminal’, a track which details the honeymoon phase of a relationship and not caving to peoples pressures of what's 'right'. His 2nd single 'Obsessed' feat Sam Readman - another track birthed in the early songwriting sessions, takes a more direct approach in addressing the complexities of a growing relationship. Since then he has been working on his debut EP, which will be released in Summer 2024.
