Description: Come learn a “scottish,” a French bal folk version of a couple dance known as a “schottishe” in other parts of the world. The dance is really fun and so are the tunes! The melody of this one is very accessible, leaving plenty of room for playing around with a riff that can go under the tune and some groovy chords. If learning by ear is new to you, never fear! We’ll take it a little piece at a time. If you’re comfy learning by ear, there will be extra parts for you to add so that you feel nicely challenged. :) As we get farther into the workshop, I’ll pass out some sheet music for those who would like to use it as a reference. We’ll have a great time putting the parts together and sounding like a groovy bal folk orchestra by the end!
