Patty PerShayla is a rarity as a combination singer and bassist, but has established herself as a stand-out performer by also perching on one leg or strutting the stage in platform heels while fronting her power trio, Patty PerShayla & The Mayhaps. Originally hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Patty and guitarist Lucas Powell played hundreds of shows and racked up thousands of miles before landing in Nashville to explore new sounds. Their EP, Perpetual Motion Machine (winner of Best Rock/Pop Album at the 2024 WYCE Jammie Awards) features riff-driven rock anthems with their signature punky blues grit and a tasteful touch of twang. Always emoting for the cheap seats and boasting a big attitude, the heart of the Mayhaps is PerShayla’s vocal delivery and her quirky, pointed lyrics, ready to call out injustice or just simply shout the big feelings away.
Four part vocal harmonies, dual lead guitars, and a tasty rhythm section built on drums, bass, and keys make the up music of The Gasoline Gypsies. But, the magic in their music is born of a driving work ethic that has earned them the reputation of being one of the tightest bands on the Mitten Music scene. The Gasoline Gypsies draw influence from the roots of rock, folk, bluegrass, and country to create their own style of Americana Rock, crafted and arranged to serve the song. Unplugged, they can mesmerize small listening rooms, or they can plug in and rock large venues. The eight time Detroit Music Award winners, The Gasoline Gypsies are enthusiastically followed by their fervent fan tribe, The Vagabundos. Find them at a show, and you’ll likely experience an alchemy that draws together the music, the people, and the family that is The Gasoline Gypsies experience.

Patty’s show was awesome, we were entertained with a good mix of her new music, favorites and a few really great covers. We’re hoping we can catch her again when she is in Charlotte!
