About this concert
One of Europe's top tributes to Canada's finest export - Rush. Power trio MOVING PICTURES are a Rush tribute at the top of their game, playing with the same precision and energy that made Rush such a beloved band. This show will feature the Exit Stage Left album in full as well as songs from every other Rush era, playing for over two hours. Moving Pictures features drummer Jamie Dunleavey (a young lady from St Andrews scarily on point), John Power (with a unique set of skills to sing AND play bass AND play keys like Geddy Lee) and guitarist Steve Brown (complete with double neck guitars). Steve is a lifelong Rush fan and pro player with a wicked sense of humour - not unlike Alex Lifeson. With a passion that shines through in every note they play Moving Pictures are regularly on the bill at Rush fan conventions, have recordings on all four ‘Songs For Neil’ albums. On hearing their original arrangement of AFTERIMAGE, Alex Lifeson wrote "Very moving and beautifully done. Heartfelt thanks to the band for their kind tribute”. Whether you're a die-hard Rush fan or simply appreciate great live music, don't miss your chance to experience the magic of Moving Pictures in person. “Moving Pictures - they're really really good. I give them a double Redick thumbs-up.” — Darren Redick - Planet Rock Radio. These strangers who weren't actually Rush made me feel as though I was finally attending a legitimate Rush concert. The accuracy with which they all play while still maintaining a lighthearted approach to their performance is, well, it's exactly as you'd expect from Rush themselves."- Mark Reid - Rockfiend

Long term Rush fan but first time I’ve seen MP. Absolutely excellent gig - flawless versions of classic Rush songs and all played with real passion and heart. Any Rush fan would get a blast from seeing Moving Pictures. Musicianship was tremendous, especially the drummer - who has a big ask doing the dearly-missed Neil Peart’s complex parts, but was breathtakingly good. The band themselves said that there were some new tunes on the setlist but apart from one moment of all members looking at each other going ‘Huh?’ (we’ve all been there at one time or another), you wouldn’t have known these songs weren’t regular material. Great night.
