Fans of Comet is Coming, Charles Mingus and Aphex Twin will want to wrap their ears around this new solo project from Brighton based Leroy Horns. Leroy is a founding member of UK Dub Reggae band Resonators and has played extensively across the UK and Europe sharing stages with legends Jimmy Cliff, Horace Andy and Lee “Scratch” Perry. He has been a street performer, busked around the world, ran away with the circus and been a close-up magician. Drawing on this wide musical and theatrical background his current project and debut solo album "Transients" has already gained support from Jazz FM’s Dom Servini. “Transients” delves into a world where blips, bleeps and bass are combined with wildly ferocious yet often tender sax improvisation. It tells the story of his transformative journey of introspection and resilience, where music served as the conduit for connection and self-discovery. The Rose Hill tavern's basement music studio, with its intimate capacity of 25 people per show, plays host to this unforgettable experience that transcends mere entertainment.
