Narcoleptica

Narcoleptica is the alias behind which we find Beatriz Vaca who, since 2006, has been developing a very personal career around electroacoustic and experimental music, with foothills towards psychedelia, ambient, noise, certain elements of post-rock and other equally experimental aspects.

Starting from her voice as an instrument, processed electric guitar, piano, synthesizers and electronics, her live performance immerses us in an experience of sonic stratification, mysterious, evocative and emotional. Based on predefined structures that support each piece, Narcoleptica allows herself certain drifts in which improvisation defines each performance as different and unique. She constructs sound spaces to inhabit, where the listener can choose which vanishing point to follow. Instead of interpretation, the search for a truth capable of generating a real situation that affects the listener is presented.

In addition to her published albums and EPs, her music appears in numerous compilations, collaborative albums, soundtracks and performance, dance, theater and multidisciplinary stage pieces, in which she often performs live. Focusing on live performances, she has established herself through more than two hundred performances throughout Europe and Latin America.
