Magnus Carlsson Biography
Magnus Carlsson (born June 24, 1974 in Borås, Sweden) is a Swedish singer.
He has been a singer with the Swedish band Barbados. He was the lead singer for eleven years, and the band became highly successful in Sweden. December 13, 2002, he became the fourth member of the Swedish pop-disco band Alcazar, and January 24, 2003 Magnus performed his last concert with Barbados. Magnus Carlsson is now a highly successful solo artist in Sweden.
Carlsson has participated in Melodifestivalen (Swedish preselection for Eurovison song contest) every year between 2000 and 2007, except in 2004, either with Barbados, Alcazar or as a solo singer.
In February, 2006, he took part in Melodifestivalen's semi-final in Karlstad with ''Lev Livet'', composed by Anders Glennmark and Niklas Strömstedt which qualified for the final in Globen. He competed as a solo artist in the third semi-final of Melodifestivalen 2007 but didn't reach the final round.
