Jimmy Fitch Biography
“Jimmy Fitch is powerful vocal talent and songwriter…”
- Dave Moody, Grammy-nominated producer/President, Lamon Records.
“…He's got the grit, he's got the songs, and DAMN, he's got the voice! I know so many people who are dying to see something like this, but don't know Jimmy's out there…yet.”
- James Harrison, American songwriter/performing/recording artist
Jimmy Fitch's debut album, Promised Land EP, embraces the influences and styles of country music's greatest and past generations to create 4 songs about life, love, and hard times. Recorded at the Compound Recording Studio in Austin, Texas, the Promised Land EP was Fitch's first project in the studio.
The title track, "Promised Land," is Fitch's favorite on the album because it incorporates his love for outlaws, drifters, trains and the Wild West.
"Really the whole song is written about a drifter's life and all the things that are dragging him down: the women, the whiskey and his trouble with the law," explains Fitch.
Originally from Midlothian, Virginia, Fitch is currently living in Tennessee, earning his second college degree in Bluegrass, Old Time and Country Music Studies at East Tennessee State University.
His powerful voice, with its rare, raw and sincere quality, conjures the timeless spirit of John Anderson, the whiskey-soaked heartache of Keith Whitley, and the broken-bottle grit of Johnny Paycheck. From classics like "Ramblin' Fever" to his hard-hitting bar room anthems "Promised Land" and "Drinkin For Two,” his high-energy shows take you on a solid gold Country roller coaster each and every night.
