About this concert
Traditional Celtic music at its best! With fire-driven instrumentals and songs, haunting ballads and a good dose of humour, the Tannahill Weavers have transformed traditional material and brought it into the modern world, vitally alive and kicking.
Members of the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, the Tannahill Weavers have recently been joined by piper Iain MacGillivray, who is Scotland’s youngest Clan leader and has worked recently on such exciting productions as Outlander and Men in Kilts and has performed for a huge list of stars and dignitaries in recent years.

"The music may be pure old time Celtic, but the drive and enthusiasm are akin to straight ahead rock and roll." -Winnipeg Free Press

The Tannahill Weavers Biography
Traditional Celtic music at its best! With fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, haunting ballads and a good dose of humour, the variety and range of the material they perform is matched only by their enthusiasm and lively Celtic spirits. Piper Iain MacGillivray is Scotland’s youngest Clan leader and has worked recently on such high profile productions as Outlander and Men in Kilts. New album Solstice out soon!
"The Tannahill Weavers play acoustic instruments, but the atmosphere at their shows is electric. The quartet is as tight and as versatile as any band in the Celtic music revival. They can summon rock 'n' roll intensity or haunting introspection." -The Boston Globe, Boston MA
"An especially eloquent mixture of the old and the new." - New York Times
