Descended from pioneers who first settled Crosby County, and the son of a fourth generation farmer and cattleman, JRK's songs are products of life and heritage, looking adversity in the eye in the forms of drought and hail, dirt devils and tornadoes, dirt cheap commodity prices, and soldiering on year by year.
