Join us for a FREE Pride festival and parade in historic Downtown Santa Ana! This year's theme is Brilliant Resilience, to celebrate the beauty, joy, and strength of the LGBTQ+ community ✨ 💎 ✨ The LGBTQ+ community is strong. We’ve fought so many battles to get where we are. Despite discrimination, anti-LGBTQ+ laws, and violence that we face, we find ways to build community, celebrate each other, and show our queer joy 🏳️‍🌈 We show our light wherever we go because we represent what’s possible when we let go of expectations and norms that don’t work for us. We shine bright because we’re proud, we love our community, and because we’re resilient. And we learn from our predecessors. Our elders are memorialized in the gems of our festival poster to honor them and the work they did to fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P. Johnson, James Baldwin, Willi Ninja, Audre Lorde, Angie Xtravaganza, and countless others have paved the way for us to be where we are now. And while we still have so much to fight for, the progress we have made is in large part due to the work our elders did. We’re honored to continue the fight for equality that they began. Our festival and parade bring together tens of thousands of people to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of the LGBTQ+ community. To celebrate the fact that we’re still here. And we’re only getting stronger. We love our Brilliantly Resilient community 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️
