ABIGAIL DOWD’S LIVING ROOM SERIES W/ CHARLEY LOWRY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 17 Doors: 6:30 pm // Show: 7:30 pm $13.96 / Day Of : $17.2 Flat Iron Charly Lowry (Lumbee/Tuscarora) is an Indigenous singer-songwriter, musician, and artivist whose music lives at the crossroads of Americana, soul, roots rock, and blues. Originally from Robeson County, North Carolina, and now based in Nashville, Tennessee, her work is rooted in storytelling, cultural resilience, and the enduring connection between home, heritage, and the journeys that shape us. A Season 3 American Idol Top 32 finalist, Lowry has performed at some of the nation’s most respected stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry, the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. She has shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Rhiannon Giddens, Pura Fé, and Rissi Palmer, and serves as a Governor of the Nashville Chapter of the Recording Academy. Her debut Nashville single, “Purty Dress (Pretty Dress),” marks the beginning of a new creative chapter, reflecting both her artistic evolution and the journey that brought her from Robeson County, North Carolina, to Music City. Inspired by that journey, Lowry is also documenting life as an independent artist through the forthcoming visual series, Nashville Bound. Whether performing with guitar, Native hand drum, or with a full band, she creates performances that are intimate, soulful, and cinematic, inviting audiences into songs of identity, resilience, and belonging. Abigail Dowd Our fearless host who still enjoys music most when it’s embedded in real life, sitting around a fire or every third Tuesday night at the Flat Iron. Each month Abigail invites musician friends to fall into space with her and the audience for what she describes as an evening in her adopted living room. They collaborate, share new songs, play old favorites, make things up, make you cry, make you laugh and most of all make you glad you came

Biografía del artista
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Abigail Dowd grew up under the longleaf pines in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Known for her storytelling and command of an audience, she has been called “a writer of the highest caliber” (The All Scene Eye). Her soulful voice and unique classical guitar style caught the attention of Acoustic Guitar Magazine, which described the album “Not What I Seem”: “The guitar-driven introspective folk of the 1970s [as] a touchstone, but so are blues and roots rock ’n’ roll.”
Pulling from her heritage of storytelling and determination, Dowd weaves hints of Celtic melodies with the soulful gospel of the south to create a sound that dances between folk, rock and blues.
