Artist bio
Life of Agony formed in Brooklyn, NY in 1989 by singer Keith Caputo, guitarist Joey Zampella, and bassist Alan Robert. Rolling Stone hailed LOA’s debut album “River Runs Red” (1993) as “One of the Greatest Metal Albums of All Time” and their song “This Time” as one of the “100 Greatest Metal Songs of All Time.” The group was inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame in 2025 and continues to share stages with the biggest names in metal and hard rock. A full-length documentary film about the band is titled “The Sound of Scars” and is streaming worldwide.

Seeing Life of Agony in the sweaty belly of Bristol's Thekla is always special, but this gig was on another level. The band focused on their classic first two albums, River Runs Red and Ugly, delivering exactly what the old-school fans wanted.
Keith Caputo sounded incredible, bringing massive energy and passion to the vocals, while Joey Z's heavy, groove-laden riffs had the whole boat bouncing. Hearing absolute anthems like "Through and Through" "This Time" and "Lost at 22" in such an intimate space was electric.
They didn't just play the classics; they brought them back to life with pure, raw power. It was an unforgettable, 5/5 night on the water that proved exactly why they are legends of the 90s scene.
