Manics is a Los Angeles based electronic live act and DJ duo comprised of Jordan Deherrera and Chris Sanders. Pulling inspiration from new wave, dark disco, house and indie dance, their live performances are a medley of original vocals, bass, guitar, analog synths, percussion and modulation. Manics’ dynamic performances blending technology and raw emotion have led to festival plays at CRSSD, Noise Pop, Northern Nights and Summersalt SF plus support for The Faint, Moon Boots, MSTKRFT, Kitten, Lemaitre and many more.
As DJs, the duo are comfortable in sweaty warehouses and massive clubs alike. Resulting in notable billings with Polo & Pan, The Magician, Boyz Noize, Flight Facilities, The Knocks, Digitalism, Dillon Francis, Hot Chip and countless others. As producers and songwriters, Manics expansive catalog includes numerous singles, remixes, EPs and production credits along with their 2021 debut LP “Pastel Palace” garnering over 4 million+ streams in total and support from Odesza, Solomun, Bob Moses, Gorgon City, Jooris Voorn, John Digweed, Calvin Harris, Walker & Royce, Rex The Dog, Mau P, Poolside, Claptone, Chris Lake, Goldroom, Phantoms, Yolanda Be Cool, Hammer and more.
As tastemaskers, the duo are the master-minds behind the independent dance music label, POPGANG Records. Founded in 2013, the label features artists across a wide swath of genres, continents and sub-cultures while retaining a cohesive identity built on the punk-DIY mentality turned modern. With over 200 releases to date, POPGANG’s prolific mark on dance music can be heard around the world with releases from HoneyLuv, Hotel Garuda, Mary Droppinz, Baby Weight, Lubelski, Wenzday, N2N, Janika Tenn, LEFTI, Raecola, Errol Bangz, Ocean Roulette, Pennywild, Kyle Zuck, Mike Kerrigan, Tony H, Dipzy, Kesia and some 50+ more artists, many of whom got their start on Manics’ imprint.
