Conard House is a San Francisco-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults living with serious mental health and medical conditions through supportive housing, behavioral health services, and financial advocacy. Founded in 1960, it pioneered one of the nation’s first halfway houses and continues to lead in community-supported self-management, harm reduction, and psychiatric rehabilitation. With over 700 permanent supportive housing units across the city, Conard House integrates care coordination, digital literacy, and employment support to foster long-term stability and belonging. At its core, the organization builds welcoming communities where individuals can reclaim agency, restore hope, and live with dignity.
