Biografía de Mischief Night
Marcus Kitchen had been writing and recording music in Philadelphia for almost 10 years before meeting Mallory Feuer by chance while she toured the North East. In that time Marcus had independently released over 10 albums of various themes and styles while broadening his repertoire to include over a dozen instruments. Mallory Feuer had been performing with her group "The Grasping Straws" in and around NYC for some years before embarking on her first tour in 2014. Her first show of the tour happened to be in Philly with Marcus' band at the time "Beverly Mud." Suffice it to say, they hit it off and shortly after Marcus moved to Brooklyn and started a new project with Mallory called "Mischief Night." After several shows as a duo and a brief stint as a 5-piece, Mischief Night found their ideal lineup with the addition of good friend Andy Siegel on bass guitar. Blending aspects of blues, jazz, pop, psychedelia, and mo-town, the group has crafted a unique and richly layered sound. PASTE Magazine kindly compared them to both Neutral Milk Hotel and Elliot Smith in style and approach. IMPOSE said "Mischief Night is a band that definitely has chance on their side..." Psych Rock Machine via BK, NY. Think "weird heavy Beach Boys blues"
