Youth Medium

Youth Medium was formed in 2023 as a convening of Central New York musician and artists working to collectively conjure new sounds from the old and vibrance from decay. Much like the desire to craft something beautiful amidst the decades of discarded stone left lying around our CNY quarries, this project builds fresh sounds on the foundations of ‘70s prog-folk and art rock, ‘80s shoegaze and new wave, ‘90s grunge and britpop, and ‘00s garage-rock. So, we describe the sound as Limestone Slag. Youth Medium’s debut album, sync includes 10 tracks that draw from this broad range of influences and communicate a feeling of our region and experience.
