About this concert
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York and the proud daughter of Dominican immigrants, Keren Abreu is a singer-songwriter whose music is as multidimensional as she is. Keren’s musical journey has taken her from the pulpit of her childhood church to the classrooms and stages of her alma maters, and most recently to sold-out venues across New York City. Keren’s music is a multilingual blend of folk lyricism, pop melodies, and powerhouse vocals. ÉXITO, her debut EP released in 2020, is a 5-song exploration and celebration of queerness, afro-latinidad, spirituality, and the people and places she calls home. She recently completed a 2-week artist residency at the esteemed Ucross Foundation in Clearmont, Wyoming. Ian Miller is a St. Louis-born, New York-based singer-songwriter who reaches across genres, blending folk rock, gospel, soul, and the storytelling-through-song of musical theater. Ian’s music speaks to longing and liminal space, “the now and the not yet” of being alive. He released his first EP, In Between, in the spring of 2020, and is releasing an 11-song album, Threshold, this spring. Ian was a participant in the 2020 Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project and received a residency from the Lopud Foundation in 2023.
