Although originally specific to male dancers, this limitation has been transcended over the centuries. Today, the word “Rakkas” has evolved to simply mean “dancing”, embracing all forms and performers. Rakkas by Borak is an event series founded by the Los Angeles-based DJ and producer, Borak. The series is designed to forge a dynamic interaction between the DJs and the audience, breaking conventional performance boundaries. Each DJ set is an exercise in collaboration; during transitions, artists engage in a 30-minute back-to-back session with the preceding act, weaving a seamless musical dialogue that enhances the overall experience.
