About Lisa Miskovsky
Lisa Miskovsky (born March 9, 1975 in Obbola near Umeå) is a Swedish musician.
Lisa Miskovsky is a platinum selling artist who's had numerous hit songs in Sweden. She's worked with and released music on both Universal and Sony. Her biggest hit "Lady Stardust" was also a radio hit in Europe. Lisa Miskovsky is a songwriter as well as a singer and musician. She had the original idea and wrote the lyrics to "Shape of My Heart" recorded by Backstreet Boys and has created music with well-known people such as Max Martin, Rami Yacoub and Joakim Berg, to name a few. Lisa Miskovsky performed the theme song "Still Alive" for the game Mirror's Edge (EA / DICE), which got remixed by the liks of Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Armand Van Helden, and Teddybears.
The new album 'Bottenviken' was recorded and co-produced by Mattias Eklund (Farkosten) in his studio together with Lisa Miskovsky, who also collaborated with the likes of Theo Kylin (Sabina Ddumba, Hov1), Christoffer Göthberg (Sabina Ddumba), Daniel Berglund (Säkert!) and the brothers Anders and Peder Stenberg from Deportees on the album. We also find Andres Moe (Avicii, John De Sohn etc.) featured on the album, singing a duet with Lisa.
Lisa comments: "A long journey of 7 years has finally come to an end. There's been many new starts and efforts that has had to be canceled along the way to start over, but now I / we are there. I am sitting at this moment looking out over the Gulf of Bothnia, the source for my new songs and my bay ❤️ Thank you to everyone who has been along for the ride."
Some of her music was directed by Joakim Berg, also known as a songwriter for the Swedish rock band Kent, and Simon Nordberg.
Miskovsky contributed vocals to the track Dead End on Come Clarity, the 2006 release from Swedish melodic death metal outfit In Flames. However, she does not actually appear in the band's special edition DVD included in Come Clarity. Instead she appears as 'Her body double', 'the Mexican', who is just a man in the studio with In Flames who sings her parts.
Besides the music, Miskovsky enjoys snowboarding, to the point of participating in the Swedish national snowboard team, and she's also known to be fond of ice hockey as well as surfing.
