So good! This is the second time we’ve seen Tge Grux in Austin. In the times I’ve seen DMB, I’ve never gotten to hear the song “Idea of You”. They played it last night! I absolutely LOVE the horns, especially the saxophonist. And, AJ, the drummer is absolutely awesome! But I just love ALL these guys and their band, in general! Such great performers! If you LOVE DMB, you will absolutely LOVE The Grux!

The Grux - A Dave Matthews Tribute Band, hailing from San Antonio, Texas, formed in 2023, consists of 7 professional musicians that have come together from around the country. This band perfectly captures the essence of The Dave Matthews Band by delivering electrifying and engaging performances that get everyone up on their feet to dance and sing along. Their music takes listeners to a DMB concert, making them feel the chemistry and rapport between the musicians on stage. The band plays many hits and deep tracks from The Dave Matthews Band, but they often spice up their setlist, covering classic 80s hits like "Burning Down The House" (The Talking Heads), "Sledgehammer" (Peter Gabriel), Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower," and many other covers that DMB performs at their concerts.
The essence of their name, "The Grux," is a nod to the Dave Matthews Band itself. As revealed in a 2009 interview by Carter Beauford, DMB's drummer, "Groo Grux," originated as both a nickname for their late saxophonist LeRoi Moore and a representation of the unique, energetic rhythms that defined the band's early music.
