NOVEMBER 2024 UK TOUR TICKETS ARE LIVE 💜

About MAUVEY

Born in Ghana, and raised between the UK and Canada, global artist and songwriter, MAUVEY, defies categorization with his unique blend of influences. MAUVEY's Afro-fusion sound is unmistakably his own, transcending traditional boundaries, spanning Afro, pop, hip-hop, alternative, and electronic genres. Born out of an obsession with storytelling through different art mediums - song-writing, cinema, fashion - MAUVEY's music reflects a spectrum of emotions, all intertwined with a desire for the world to change. His artistry aims to distribute love, recognizing the world's struggles and the need for healing.

In MAUVEY's world, love is the antidote to a broken hearted universe - a simple yet powerful notion that has the potential to mend both the world and each other. Through his music, MAUVEY seeks to spread the mission of love.

In 2024, MAUVEY released ‘BEFORE THE ALBUM 2.5: THE REMIX’ teaming up with Juno-award winning and nominated producers including Teen Daze, Junia T, and 4Korners. In January 2024, MAUVEY was recognized as one of Shell Zenner’s 2024 Tips of the Year, and had support from Amazon Music with a billboard in Dundas Square, Toronto.

MAUVEY’s stage performance is nothing short of electrifying, actualizing in 2024 on a world tour that includes the USA, Brazil, Canada, UK, and Ghana, with esteemed slots at Glastonbury and SXSW, as well as a headline UK tour in November. In 2023, MAUVEY performed at Isle of Wight Festival (headline), Glastonbury, SXSW, New Colossus New York, Focus Wales, Capitol Hill Block Party Seattle, Treefort Festival, Big Sound Australia, and Music Matters Singapore to name a few. Notably, he was recognized on Why Now’s Ones To Watch List for 2023, and was nominated for 4 West Coast Music Awards: Breakout Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, Recording of the Year, and Excellence in Visual Design. The year also saw the release of acclaimed collaboration with Lights – ‘WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER’.

MAUVEY's work has garnered widespread praise from renowned platforms including BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Exclaim!, Complex, Range Magazine, DORK, Wonderland, Earmilk, Selector Radio, Amazing Radio, and CBC. His performances include sets at Other Voices, THE HUNDRED at Ageas Bowl for BBC Introducing, Reeperbahn, The Great Escape, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Boomtown, School Night L.A. + Toronto, among others, showcasing his undeniable live presence. Additionally, MAUVEY has been direct tour support with acts including July Talk (USA Tour Run), easy life, Dear Rouge, and Snotty Nose Rez Kids.
