About this concert
Op 6 april 2024 speelt Electric Eel Shock voor hun dertigste verjaardagstournee in De KF! De band is in de jaren ’90 opgericht in Tokyo. Vlak voor de eeuw-wisseling verliet EES hun geboorteland Japan om te zien of ze het waar konden maken in Amerika. Sindsdien hebben ze in meer dan veertig landen over de hele wereld opgetreden. Daarnaast hebben ze op ieder noemingswaardig rockfestival in Europa gespeeld. Voor lange tijd droomde Dikke Dennis van zijn eigen band en nu is die droom eindelijk uitgekomen. Verwacht veel Nederlandstalige nummers en eigen werk van Dikke Dennis & de Røckers.

Electric Eel Shock Biography
Electric Eel Shock (a.k.a. EES) are a Japanese celebration of classic rock, punk and metal. A true power trio (Aki Morimoto - Guitar & Vocals; Kazuto Maekawa - Bass; Tomoharu 'Gian' Ito - Drums) from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family.
EES formed in Tokyo in the late 1990s, they first toured the United States in 1999 and came to Europe in early 2003 - they have been touring the world ever since.
In 2008, they've managed to group enough people on website SellaBand in order to raise funds for an album. It's planned to be released early 2009.
