Brighton based post hardcore/alt metal four piece El Moono are back with their highly anticipated 13-track debut album, The Waking Sun, recorded at Middle Farm Studios.With 2 songs already synced to a brand new horror movie, now in production, the band are ready to release in Q1 2024, with singles dropping from October 2023. El Moono are back with Chains, the first single from their highly anticipated debut album, recorded at Middle Farm Studios.
The band are further exploring their off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riff writing, emotive soundscapes and expressive lyricism to create a record that will further prove their “genre-phobic” reputation.
2022 saw the band's release of the critically acclaimed EP ‘Temple Corrupted’ via Lockjaw Records, (Belvedere, Jamie Lenman, DARKO) and heavy touring around the UK & Europe (with the likes of Black Peaks, The St Pierre Snake Invasion, The Hyena Kill and more) which cemented the band as favourites within the post-metal/post-hardcore scene. The EP explored themes of human self-destruction and depression, containing seven emotive tracks that flow together to create an overarching musical narrative with poignant concepts.
