Earnest, sardonic, and sometimes cheeky in their delivery, Biggs offers condolences and perspective of life truly lived. Far away from the blanket forts and back room studio set ups of the last record, Biggs’ attitude to self-recording is still apparent in their pursuit to find the words in our shared experience. Ahead of a SXSW appearance, Alexander Biggs arrives to Social Sanctuary dedicated and refreshed, bringing with him songs from his upcoming album, Stay with the Horses. The Melbourne songwriter has supported top tier talent including Julien Baker, Frightened Rabbit & Evan Dando (The Lemonheads), received tastemaker support from folks at triple j, BBC Radio 1, KCRW, Rolling Stone Australia, Consequence of Sound, and Paste Magazine among others, and amassed over 20 million streams on Spotify. Alexander’s music has resonated with audiences across the world, and seen them perform in the UK, US and South America.Kat Edwards was born in Australia’s capital city Canberra, outside the hospital, inside the car. Although for as long as she can remember, she has lived off the mainland in the beautiful, sleepy town of Hobart. Kat is the youngest of 9 siblings, with seven brothers and one sister. In 2013 she performed at her first open mic night and in 2016, a sixteen-year-old Kat immersed herself in the local music scene, busking on weekends, writing and recording. She self-released music digitally and showed the world her raw songwriting talent and a voice that completely defies her youth. Kat spends most of her spare time at the beach, hiking, camping, reading, gardening and sewing. Now 22, she is ready to explore past the mainland, to surprise and be surprised by the world.Tamara & the Dreams is the rock star project of the charismatic, candid, voice of a generation, Tamara Reichman.
