Queensyche put on an amazing show! Called the "Origins" tour, they played all of the self-titled EP and "Warning" straight through. To say that Todd La Torre was up to the task of singing Geoff Tate's challenging vocals from those albums would be an understatement. He absolutely killed every note! His energy on stage was incredible as he put everything he had into it and his performance was flawless. The band was very tight and the guitar solos were perfect. It was like being transported back to the early 1980's in their heyday! After they played those albums, they did a three-song encore, starting with "Prophecy." Then they did "Screaming in Digital" which is probably my favorite song off of "Rage for Order," and it was fantastic! They closed with "Empire" which was a little disappointing to me, but the crowd really got into it so that was fine. I wish they would've played something off of "Operation: Mindcrime," especially since they had done at least one song off from it at previous shows. I also would have loved to hear some off their latest album, which I think is as good as anything they've ever done, but I understand this tour is about the early days. Now I'm ready to go see them again when they work in the newer stuff! I highly recommend that any true Queensryche fan from the beginning go see this show. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Queensrÿche Biography

Queensrÿche first burst onto the music scene in 1982 with the release of their self-titled 4 song EP Queensrÿche. With the follow up first full length album "The Warning" in 1984, and the ground breaking 1986 release of "Rage For Order", Queensrÿche continued to prove their worldwide dominance as one of the most respected and creative bands of the 80's. In 1988 the band turned out yet another monumental album"Operation:Mindcrime", which would go on to become one of the TOP 10 best selling concepts records of all time, and set the stage for continued sold out performances around the world. With the release of the critically acclaimed and commercially successful "Empire" in 1991, the band earned multiple Grammy Award nominations and won the MTV "viewers choice" award for the #1 chart topping hit "Silent Lucidity". During the next ten years, the band continued to release albums and tour the world to sold out audiences. Queensrÿche has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and have continued to break new ground and push their creative process.
