About this concert
HERETICS : ANNE-JAMES CHATON : voix, électroniques et ANDY MOOR : guitareDe grandes figures de l‘Hérésie à travers l’histoire, tels que Le Caravage, William Burroughs, José Mujica, le Marquis de Sade ou Johnny Rotten, sont la première source d’inspiration de ce projet, abordant cette question sous forme de portraits mêlant texte et musique. Un travail collaboratif où écriture, voix, guitares, électronique sont travaillés pour une exploration hors-norme d’une thématique qui leur ressemble.Les visions singulières des artistes se superposent sur fond de guitares parfois mélodiques, le plus souvent bruissantes, et de textes récités. Anne-James Chaton & Andy Moor Biography
Anne-James Chaton is a writer, poet and artist living in Paris. He explores the relations between spoken words & music, both in concert situation and on recordings.
Andy Moor is a guitarist, well known for being a member of the dutch group ‘The Ex’, and for his active career as an improvisor on the international scene of avant-gard instant music.
Chaton and Moor have formed the duo in 2006. Their live set is represented by Lebeau and associés, Paris. Their recorded works as a duo include Le Journaliste (CD), Transfer (CD and a series of four 7” singles), and recently Heretics with the participation of Thurston Moore (CD and DVD), all released on Unsounds.
