About this concert
Der Name Mad Hatter’s Daughter war ursprünglich mal Kira’s Idee für ein Fashionlabel. Und das sollte emotional, authentisch und handgemacht sein, genauso wie es heute ihre gemeinsame Musik ist. Dabei überzeugen die facettenreichen Songs, die mit Kira’s tiefer und rauchiger Stimme faszinieren. „Female Rod Stewart“, „Adele“, „Stevie Nicks“ waren nur einige Assoziationen von Hörern, die in den Genuss ihrer Musik kamen.
Mit ihrer kommenden EP „Walk with me“ ist es Kira und Basti gelungen sowohl sound- als auch songtechnisch eine eigene Handschrift zu entwickeln, die ihre exquisiten Popsongs von anderen abhebt.
Der Pre-Sale auf eventim.de startet am Montag, den 4. Februar 2019 um 10:00 Uhr, der bundesweite Vorverkauf beginnt dann am Freitag, den 08. Februar, um 10:00 Uhr.

“Every adventure requires a first step” - The Cheshire Cat
The idea behind “Mad Hatter’s Daughter” came to Buzz T. Isles the very first time he heard his wife Kira sing. Having worked as an audio engineer, he knew she had something special. A few months later, the couple released a cover of Trent Reznor’s “Hurt”. The subsequent popularity of the video with its raving reviews inspired the duo to go even further.
Eager to create songs for people all over the world and not just in Germany, the duo invited British friend and songwriter Josiah Smithson to the party. The creative combination of all three members clicked immediately and opened doors to the UK in a rekindling of the historically significant musical relationship between Hamburg and England.
Their first EPs “Life Affairs” and ”Walk with me” secured the band over 3 million streams and 20 weeks of airplay in the German Charts. After a sold out tour in Germany the band set their sights on the UK and joined forces with Grammy nominated engineer Jeremy Murphy (Adele, Mumford & Sons, Emeli Sandé) to work on their upcoming album “Where Are We Runnin”. Jez helped to achieve the dynamic sound the band were after, one that could tip its hat to both younger and older generations.
Despite the challenges of Brexit, the pandemic and a newborn baby, the band went ahead with their “Bridges Over Borders Tour” performing at a few select venues across the UK, selling out shows in London & Brighton and playing venues as iconic as “Cavern Club” (The Beatles, Adele, Jessie J) and “Green Note” (Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse, Leonard Cohen). Shortly after the band were invited to to represent Germany at the EXPO in Dubai.
With some exciting up and coming international collaborations as well as the widely anticipated album drop of “Where Are We Runnin” scheduled for Summer 2022, the band are incredibly excited for what’s to come.
