Hayley Fahey Music Biography
Hayley Fahey has been writing songs since she was a girl. A fusion of her early influences: R&B, pop, jazz, rock, and country means her music crosses genre boundaries. As a songwriter since she was a child, Fahey's poetic lyrics have always been her way to make sense of the world.
Born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, Fahey grew up singing along to recordings of local hero Eva Cassidy, who shaped her dynamic range and emotive singing. Fahey went on to perform with D.C.-area legends, Keith Grimes and Daryl Davis, before relocating to Nashville, TN in 2021.
Fahey's two full-length albums and 4 singles have attracted praise from industry professionals, six Wammie (Washington Area Music Award) nominations, and multiple songwriting awards from the Bernard Ebb Songwriting Contest and Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest. She has performed on many of the better festival stages along the East Coast, and has lit up impressive stages such as the 9:30 Club, The Hamilton, the State Theatre, Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club, Rams Head Live, Strathmore Music Center, and the Xfinity Center as a National Anthem singer for her alma mater, University of Maryland, among others. Fahey has shared the stage opening for nationally-touring acts including John Splithoff, Erika Wennerstrom (of the Heartless Bastards), and Sir Woman.
Fahey captivates audiences with her sparkling range and originality. What sets her apart in addition to her writing and her voice, are her live stage performances. She takes the audience on a journey, with her soulful vocals, pop-driven hooks, blues grit, and her vivacious energy and enthusiasm. When Hayley is on stage, she’s home.
