Imogen Clark Biography

Imogen Clark is an Australian indie rock artist from Western Sydney. Her music ranges from intimate to arena-ready, rock anthems with the soul of a confessional singer-songwriter.

Despite the challenges the last two years have brought to the music industry, Imogen has gone from strength to strength – releasing critically acclaimed EPs The Making of Me and Bastards, two Christmas singles, a live record and even touring, including the first two editions of her now annual Holiday Hootenanny shows, featuring guests including Ali Barter, I Know Leopard, Mo’Ju and Montaigne.

Tracked in LA and finished remotely from Sydney, the EPs showcase Imogen’s powerful vocals and confronting lyrics, tackling heartbreak, addiction, suicide and more and featuring collaborations with rock legends Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Colin Hay (Men at Work) and contemporaries Alex Lahey, Taylor Goldsmith (Dawes), Eilish Gilligan and Emma Swift.

2021 was the biggest year of Imogen’s career to date, including a sold-out Sydney residency, a packed-out EP launch show streamed around the world, rave reviews for Bastards, her first ever live record, a collaborative Christmas single written and recorded with members of Holy Holy, Rilo Kiley, The Preatures and Deep Sea Arcade and wrapping up the year opening for local rock legends Frenzal Rhomb. 2022 is shaping up to be even bigger, kicking off with the 2nd Annual Holiday Hootenanny in Melbourne and extensive touring planned for mid-year, at home and overseas, as well as new music on the horizon...
