Show was ok. Brooklyn Steel is a good venue - but I would love to have more options of food. Show started a bit delayed, with the explanation that Ian McCulloch got laryngitis. In general, great songs, but Ian was clearly not able to sing at his best. Also, it was nearly impossible to hear what he was saying between the songs - maybe due to his accent, maybe due to the laryngitis, maybe to some strong remedies. Anyway, all the great songs were there.

Thanks to Ian, Will, and the rest of the band, we had a great time last night. The band sounded great. The setlist was consistent with the previous shows on the tour.
If you want to have a great evening, get tickets and get out to see Echo and the Bunnymen at one of the shows on this tour.

Two encores, hits and quips. The Bunnymen on their home turf never disappoints. Standout moments were The Cutter and The Killing Moon.
Ian is the John Lydon of Liverpool. He tells it as it is, which is always refreshing in the present day.
A great night. A “People are Strange” rendition for an encore would have took the roof off the Empire though.. maybe next time…

Acerca De Echo & The Bunnymen
Echo & the Bunnymen are an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1978. The original line-up consisted of vocalist Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bassist Les Pattinson. By 1980, Pete de Freitas joined as the band's drummer.
Their 1980 debut album Crocodiles went into the top 20 of the UK Albums Chart. After releasing their second album Heaven Up Here in 1981, the band's cult status was followed by mainstream success in the UK in 1983 when they scored a UK Top 10 hit with "The Cutter", and the album which the song came from, Porcupine, hit number 2 in the UK. Ocean Rain (1984), continued the band's UK chart success with its lead single "The Killing Moon" entering into the top 10.
