LAW is a rock band based out of Los Angeles County, CA that was founded in 2013 in Long Beach, CA. The band consists of Jakob Nowell (Vocals), Nick Aguilar (Drums), and Aidan Palacios (Guitar). LAW is currently based out of LA County and has been playing regular shows since 2013. Their style consists of a heavy emphasis on loud, live sound with thunderous basslines, sonorous solos, furious drums and wailing vocals; an experimental mix of Queens of the Stone Age, Alice in Chains and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
LAW is currently in the process of recording new and unheard songs to debut their true style in a full-length release and seeking to spread their message through straightforward, to-the-point, no-nonsense rock music. The band has a heavy emphasis on live sound and would ask the listener to come out to a show near them to judge for themselves. Law and all the supporting acts were phenomenal. Unfortunately the venue had some sound issues during Laws set. The mic was cutting out on Jakob. Loguns bass amp seemed to have some kind of issue as well a few times throughout the set. Really was hoping for a longer Law set too. The VIP
experience was non existent. Tickets said it was at 6:30 so we rushed to get there in time only to wait until 10:30 for Law. We had to ask for our swag before leaving. Luckily the guys are very Real and Nice Young Men. We got to meet them all outside and around the venue and they even said Hello to my 10 year old who is also a big fan on a facebook video chat. Thanks guys. Can't wait for next time.

It was a hell of a show at the Beat Kitchen last night! Jakob’s stage presence is as big as his voice. The band jammed flawlessly and it’s very apparent that they actually enjoy each other and what they’re doing. Not surprisingly, the entire band sounds better live than on record, but there’s really only one way to find that out for yourself.
