Big Brass Bed began as a Bob Dylan tribute band in 2002, playing regularly at Lake Worth, FL's Bamboo Room. After their first concert, The Palm Beach Post called their sound "Pure Dylan, a rollicking blend of blues, folk, country and other roots-loving styles...But there was a crucial difference: When the lead singer approached the mike, you could make out the lyrics." Today, the band continues on with original members Bill Meredith (drums) and Rod MacDonald (guitar/vocals/harmonica), and has since added three of PB County's excellent musicians in Doug Lindsay (bass), Brad Keller (keys), and Mario LaCasse (guitar). They've made three cds and appear in many of the state's finest venues and festivals, and though playing mostly electric music, were named Best Folk Band in South Florida in 2016 by New Times.
