Acerca De The Dangerous Idiots
Aaron Sarlo founded Dangerous Idiots, enlisting the help of former Techno Squid Eats Parliament drummer, Shayne Gray, and Trusty bassist Paul Bowling, who were attracted to the project based on the strength of a large set of new demos from Sarlo. The Dangerous Idiots recorded “DANGEROUS IDIOTS” at Wolfman Studios in Little Rock in the fall of 2009 / spring of 2010, and the record released (in 2011 on UK label, Mostar Records) to critical acclaim in the British blogosphere and Arkansas press, due largely to the charm of its debut single, “Can I Get a Role Model,” and to the “beauty and innonce” of the album’s ballad, “sad.” In 2011, Sarlo wrote and recorded the Dangerous Idiots follow-up record, “Frankenbastard,” with Leewood Thomas stepping in on drums and John Davies on bass. Jake Rutherford (T.C. and the Eddies, Reagan’s Polyp), and Greg Olmstead later joined The Dangerous Idiots on bass and drums. In July, 2016, The Dangerous Idiots released “The Dangerous Idiots: LIVE at The Legendary White Water Tavern.” Aaron Sarlo is currently writing the band’s third studio album.
