DIGITALDUBS is known as the main reference for dub and sound system culture in Brazil. Since 2001, it has been organizing parties that have paved the way for an alternative scene in the Rio de Janeiro, opening doors, occupying new spaces, and continuing to inspire new generations of diverse styles.

Live, versatility is one of its defining characteristics: at parties, DJ Marcus MPC creates a dynamic musical selection capable of captivating anyone, covering all styles of Jamaican music, from the classic sound of reggae roots to the heavy bass of dub and the grooves of dancehall – including hits and exclusive tracks. The power of the green boxes makes the body tremble, providing a unique sensory experience. Guest MCs complete the excitement, singing, improvising, and interacting with the audience.

With 25 years of activity, “Digital” is a heritage of Rio de Janeiro — officially recognized by the country's Ministry of Culture. The collective has been reaffirming this
innovative spirit of pioneering and, at the same time, cultural resistance, continuing to win over new audiences. The Digitaldubs parties have become one of the
most celebrated in the Rio alternative scene, from the city center to the top of favelas.


In Rio's Carnival, enjoying the sounds of Digitaldubs and their sound system in the street is already a tradition. The powerful bass and positive message cleanse the soul and recharge energies after the days of revelry. More than 10,000 people, including locals and tourists from all over the world, come together to dance and enjoy the best vibe of Jah's music democratically and inclusively. The Carnival dance is also connected to Digitaldubs' international career, as reggae is part of the Carnival calendar in several cities around the world, especially London, with its famous occupation of the streets of Notting Hill.

Digitaldubs is like an "Ambassador of Brazilian Dub," having toured extensively in Europe, Latin America, and the United States, playing at parties, clubs, and major festivals like Rototom Sunsplash. The collective has also facilitated exchanges with international artists, opening doors for legends of the genre, such as Aba Shanti-I, Iration Steppas, Mad Professor, and Zion Train, to come to Brazil.

Another highlight is the profound musical production work of Digitaldubs, characterized by an original blend of English dub and Jamaican dancehall with Brazilian elements, all based on extensive research and experimentation. The collective's collaborations include legends of world reggae, such as Ranking Joe (Dub Side of the Moon), Cedric Myton (The Congos), and Lee "Scratch" Perry (Bob Marley's partner), and respected names in Brazilian music such as Tom Zé, Gilberto Gil, BNegão, Black Alien, and many more.
