Sarah Khatami is an Iranian American singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Khatami grew up surrounded by music, from her older sisters’ 90s’-00s’ R&B CDs, to her parents’ vast collection of Persian pop cassettes. Soon, she developed her own style that combined the soul of R&B vocals with the elaborate runs heard in Persian music.
