Rising from the ashes of the defunct Ska/Punk band, Sweat Life, Sebastian, Vinnie and Alec started writing new music together in Vinnie’s basement studio. By citing influences such as Nirvana, Pixies, NOFX, Wavves, HUM and Car Seat Headrest, Copes successfully combines elements of 90’s Grunge, Punk, Surf, Garage and Stoner Rock with a modern Indie twist. The band is known for their high energy shows and DIY ethics. They often hand make their own merchandise in small runs and self-record and distribute all of their music. Harping back to the underground basement shows of yesteryear, their live performances are an exciting mix of thrashing and dancing, where crowd participation is encouraged. Copes is currently on tour nationwide to promote their latest album release. Copes is an Alt-Rock trio that formed in 2014 in Baltimore, Maryland. The band consists of Sebastian Pinto on guitar and vocals, Vinnie Burke on drums and Alec Pugliese on bass. Their debut album, Never Better, was released in March 2017.
