Power trio formé en 2010 à Dinan (Bretagne), Fawl compose un rock à deux visages : guitares saturées et puissance rythmique d’un côté, envolées pop et mélodies aériennes de l’autre.
Leur premier EP, sorti en 2013, reflète le large éventail de composition du groupe : du son des guitares d’abord, tantôt saturées comme sur le titre d’ouverture Hurt, tantôt limpides, aux accents plus folk, comme sur Fallout, second titre aérien faisant la part belle aux voix et aux mélodies. On retrouvera aussi toute la maîtrise des trois musiciens dans les envolées pop qui impriment leur marque de fabrique depuis le début, à l’instar d’Eerily, troisième titre du disque. Jusqu’à en terminer par Watchmen, son atmosphère western, sa cavalcade rythmique et ses cuivres chaleureux…

Power trio launched in 2010 in Dinan (north-western France), Fawl deals in a double-faceted brand of hard rock : distorted guitars and a powerful rythm section on the one hand, pop lyricism and swooping melodies on the other. Their first EP, which came out in 2013, showcases a wide palette of the bands composition skills : the guitars are heavy and overdriven on the first song Hurt, then show more of a clean and clear folk touch on the song Fallout, the second song on the EP, giving free rein to voice and melody. The three musicians' mastery of pop, a major feature of their work from the start, is demonstrated on Eerily, third track on the CD. The final song Watchmen features a western feel with galloping rhythm and a warm brass touch.
