Claudius
Claudius Raphael is an international DJ and music producer based in New York City. An enigmatic guide, eclectic storyteller and weaver of melodic emotions, Claudius has a remarkable track record from some of the world’s top music destinations, including Burning Man, Mykonos, Cannes and Dusseldorf, to name a few. His hometown New York, however, remains a favorite location, where he has played at iconic nightclubs such as Life, Pangea, Verboten and Soho House.
Raised by avid world travelers, Claudius was exposed to a multitude of cultures at a young age. These experiences serve as a foundation for much of his music, which features a mix of Latin American, Caribbean and African influences. Claudius favors natural percussion elements, ethereal backdrops and moody baselines.
Pairing his compelling spectrum of influences with his devotion to seamlessly blending sounds, Claudius began his career in the fashion industry where he provided soundtracks at fashion shows for the likes of Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani.
The nightlife industry quickly caught wind of his fashion event sets, which subsequently landed him his legendary residency at New York City’s Pink Elephant.
Claudius’ music style evolved tremendously once discovering his signature rhythmic, sensual and emulsifying sound. Following his exposure at Burning Man, Claudius’ sound truly took hold, and he became a favorite at the infamous Tutu Tuesday Black Rock City gathering, where he gained the devotion of many deep house music lovers.

Some of Claudius’ most noteworthy assignments include the Day & Night brunch party at the Oak Room at The Plaza in 2010 and the Day & Night brunch party in St Barts in 2011.
