Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Borders’ musical journey began in her childhood home, where she was exposed to a rich tapestry of sounds that permeated the City's cultural landscape. Soul, funk, rock, and blues became the foundation upon which she built her own unique style.

As a teenager, Borders honed her skills as a songwriter and live performer, immersing herself in the New Orleans music scene. Off stage and outside of the studio, Borders runs Third Coast Entertainment, a booking agency and event production company aimed at elevating women, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC artists. She also runs The Borders Foundation, founded to support artists from marginalized communities.
