Acerca De Lari Basilio

Lari Basilio
Lari Basilio is a brazilian guitarist, songwriter and producer. She was considered by Guitar World Magazine "one of the most exciting names in instrumental rock", and also described as "one of today's most tasteful guitar virtuosos".
Basilio started her musical journey as a guitarist playing in bands and churches in Brazil. In 2011, she started her solo career, working on her instrumental five-song Extended Play (EP), named, simply, Lari Basilio, which features Felipe Andreoli, bass player of Angra. The EP was produced by the five-time Latin Grammy winner Lampadinha.
Her second original record, the album and DVD “The Sound of My Room“, was released in August, 2015 and it was premiered at the iconic brazilian movie theater Cine Belas Artes in São Paulo.
Lari's third original record, “Far More” album (2019), was recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles featuring as band: Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Nathan East (bass) and Greg Phillinganes (keys/piano). Far More album also bringing two special guests: Joe Satriani (on the track Glimpse of Light) and Siedah Garrett (on the track Man in The Mirror, for which Lari created a new arrangement). The album was produced by Lari Basilio and Rodrigo Rios.
In 2022 Lari Basilio released the album “Your Love”. Produced by Lari Basilio was recorded at United Recording Studios[4] in Los Angeles and features once again Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), and also the bass players Sean Hurley and Leland Sklar, and Ester Na (keys and piano).
Lari Basilio’s new album “Redemption” was released on May 16th, 2025. Recorded at EastWest Studios, Los Angeles, Lari was joined again by the legendary Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), Sean Hurley and Leland Sklar (bass) and Mari Jacintho (keys).

Fabulous show - Lari and the band were excellent. I only wish that more people in Jacksonville knew her music, who she is and attended the show. I hope she returns in the future.

Only about one hundred very enthusiastic fans showed up to show their appreciation for Ms. Basilio but MAN, was she good........she seems like the sweetest most appreciative soul........and her band was EXTREMELY talented.........the sound mix was "fairly" decent ( a little too heavy on the bass ) but NOT overbearingly loud ( which at my age I sincerely appreciate ) Lari's guitar tones were exceptional throughout and although she possesses a vast amount of "chops" she was WAY more focused on presenting her compositions than she was rubbing her skill level into your face!!! IF Eric Johnson were a woman from Brazil and his tunes were more danceable and he played a few more ballads you would end up with Lari Basilio.........I drove over an hour to be able to see her and it was WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!!! My only "gripe" ( which has NOTHING to do with Ms. Basilio ) is that the venue provided no seats!!!!! It was standing room only.........when I was a young man I could stand in hot sweaty conditions for HOURS to see my favorite musicians but now that I am older I don't WANT to have to stand for an hour and a half.........I just don't!!!! Fortunately my friend with whom I attended the show used his "clout" to commandeer a stool from the bar so that I could sit as needed.......still, all in all, a spectacular evening!!! Lari Basilio deserves to have WAY more than a hundred people show up to see and hear her!!!!!!

The venue and show were excellent, The Jaeb theater is at the Straz Center and is a perfect venue for a smaller show like this, it has nice tables and chairs that are comfortable. You get an up close and personal experience.
Lari and her band put on a great show, the interactions between the band members were precise and they were having fun! She was great and was smiling the whole time she played, I loved her show. Very talented and humble as well, I hope to see her again.
