Generally a really great show, but the sound system was terrible. I love a live show & expect it to be loud, especially sitting near the front, but last night was ear-drum shatteringly loud and vocals were extremely muffled, so it was almost impossible to understand what Jim Kerr was singing. Fine, if you know the songs, but there were a few I didn't know. Still, Kerr knows how to work a crowd and it really was a good night. Del Amitri supporting was a good start. Never been a fan but really enjoyed their set.

I’ve wanted to see Simple Minds for years but never been able to do so. What can I say other than it was certainly worth the wait 😃

OMG they were AMAZING. Love Love Love Simple Minds. We stood up for the whole show and it was fantastic - the vibe was exhilarating . Wish I was going tonight as well.

Jim & Co. both looked and sounded amazing - their energy was captivating and electrified (or should I say sanctified) the audience. Jim's voice was amazingly on point and his energy was more akin to a show they would have done in the 80's or 90's - there was no slowing down. It was great to see that Sydney and performing in the iconic Opera House meant so much to them all. This was also the 2nd show of that same night - they had an earlier full set show at 6pm - and there was no signs of it, and felt like they could have easily done a midnight show! The band sounded incredible with throaty bass riffs, recording studio quality synth cues, red-hot lead licks and a drummer who frequently led the charge with the heartbeat of the band who also gave a pulse-racing stand alone solo that would have shamed Tommy Lee...and as I was sitting in the elevated side-on and to the back seats (so looking down at the band) she did this amazing audio assault with the kickdrums......in HIGH HEELS! Overall, an amazing show - please come back again!

Jim and the band were relaxed and seemed to enjoy being on stage again. We got to hear what we wanted to hear plus Act of love and Vision Thing. All in all, a great evening which, despite its two hours, felt far too short.

They were so great! Jim Kerr was incredible, dancing all over the stage - actually more than the audience (sadly), except for me LOL And his voice was as good as it's ever been. My (much younger) friend wasn't sure he would know most of their songs, except for "Don't You (Forget About Me)" but with each song they did, he was like "Oh, wow! I didn't know they did this song too!". I definitely will see them again and again.

Die Kapelle hat sich sichtlich Mühe gegeben, aber entweder ist der Mischer unfähig oder die Akustik der Halle ist zumindest ganz hinten besch... Viel zu laut und nur Mitten - nix Bass. Das war leider kein Genuß.

Very nice concert, Jim Kerr sounds like before 2000, a beautiful voice. The band sound is steady. Sound tuning/balance between bandmembers not always wright. Are all the synths sounds played by keyboardplayer?

Amazing gig! Was not privileged enough to be able to afford to see them in my younger days, but seriously well worth the wait. Amazing, brilliant performers and the content sung was never ending.

Great show. Stage set was excellent and helped deliver an Arena size show in a relatively small venue. Jim was a great showman. Solid selection of songs. Great to hear Belfast Child..

Best concert EVER! My wife and I waited over 30 years to see Simple Minds. This was a memorable concert because the date of the concert marked our 22nd wedding anniversary AND the venue was the location where we hosted our wedding reception. I hope Simple Minds tours in the U.S. again SOON! Jim’s voice is spot-on and the new material only further augmented decades of exceptional music.

Actually saw them at the Pabst theater in Milwaukee and we had some much fun ! They are so personable and interact a ton with their fans. We have VIP tickets and it’s was the bomb

Great show. First time I’ve had the opportunity to see Simple Minds. Glad they played a broad selection of my favorite early 80’s era. I wish the keyboard parts had been more prominent but that’s where their heads are at these days (and no proper keyboard specialist).

Well worth the wait after many years of waiting for them to return to Vancouver. Simply put ... some great music never changes.... just a awesome 3 hour show!!!

Such an amazing show! Jim Kerr genuinely engaged the crowd at all times and sounded even better than ever. He was charming and funny and the whole concert was spectacular! The only downside was the blinding light show which at times prohibited us from actually watching the show. I hope they plan another tour to the us next year. It’s definitely worth the flight to wherever they may tour. Simply amazing.

They did play quite a few songs spanning their career and the show was early on in the tour schedule and to be honest they sounded kind of sloppy or off key on a number of songs and some songs that are powerful on CD or record didn't come off that powerful.. such as promised you a miracle.. seen them I guess what I call now is there a day in the past and they weren't quite is good this time around yet at the same time I'm happy to have seen them...

KT Tunstall 4/5 The Pretenders 5/5 Simple Minds 4/5 A very talented young lady and two bands that have a lot of mileage behind them - and it showed, professional, engaging and well delivered. Shame about Simple Minds sound levels for the first 15min but once they brought the guitar and vocals in, all was ok. Family friendly, fun and good value.

First half was great, but second half was a little dull. You forget that bands like this are very 'anthemic'. Back in the old days, it was great to hear the great anthems play out every few months. However, to hear them all in one concert became a little monotonous. Don't get me wrong, they are all great musicians. It's not their fault I became a little bored!

Jim Kerr is a superb artist who gives the feeling that is He is where He want when He is on stage. Still sings like 30 years ago.

it was amazing. first time seeing them live. the setlist was stellar!! played all my fave songs and a few gems that I wasn't expecting. got to meet the band afterwards. it was everyone I could've wanted.
