Acerca De Break Science

Break Science
Raised and influenced by the rhythm and culture of New York City, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee fuse generations of the city's rich musical legacy with their own deep-rooted connection to hip-hop heritage. Merging their production styles seamlessly, the duo creates a refreshingly original take on electronic music. The live show transcends expectations with Lee's seasoned trip-hop/dub/jazz vibes on keyboards and Ableton Live and Deitch's thunderous breakbeat style on drums.

Lo que dicen los fans
The artists were great, truly. However, the person managing the sound for the Sitzmark was not very qualified. He kept turning up the bass more as the show went on, until the melodies of Break Science could no longer be heard. Some of us find the melody just as important as the beat to find our dance rhythm. I wouldn’t be complaining as much if I didn’t have to leave early with my friend because the sound was so dangerously loud. I have an ear injury with tinnitus in my left ear, which flares up with more ringing if I over-expose myself to sound. I love loud music, believe me, and love using my earbuds for the gym, walking around town, and even grocery shopping. However, this level of sound was going to give everyone there some level of hearing damage. I’m convinced the sound engineer was partially deaf himself. Anyway, I’d have preferred to hear some of the jazz funk hype along with the bass so my body could feel into a potent groove. It’s more fun overall to feel what the artists are feeling from the music in their headphones. More connective. Please consider this for future shows. Peace

I love Break Science but last nights show had NO flow. Too much starting and stopping.
