Acerca De DAve Crespo's After Party
DAve Crespo has been playing in bands in Massachusetts since 1999 when he started out fronting and playing lead guitar for Ravin Klaim. He has fronted old school rock bands from the start until now with an attitude that resembles the care free attitudes of vintage rock n’ roll. After local attention surmounted around Ravin Klaim through The Boston Globe and Fox News, Crespo dismantled the band to go in a different direction with his music… in 2007 he started his own band, DAve Crespo’s After Party.
DCAP self titled epIn 2009, DAve Crespo’s After Party released their first disc entitled, “DCAP.” This release helped them to open for national bands like Marcy Playground. On DCAP’s first disc Spo speaks much about Boston, it’s atmosphere and local music scene.
DCAP b street epIn 2011 the DCAP’s new songs were a departure from the city life that Spo’s lyrics wandered towards before. When the band released, “B Street,” featuring the bass playing of Sam Damask it took the band into a direction that Crespo was familiar to before his After Party started.
DCAP #m2yi epIn 2012, The After Party formed it’s most furious line up that had ever backed Crespo. The rock fury that this group of people embodied pushed the band to create it’s third EP, “#m2yi,” aka “Music 2 Your Internet.” Some say that Spo has finally gotten back to his roots in Ravin Klaim with this line up.
Currently DCAP consists of Will Deeks on rhythm guitar, Dave Chez on lead guitar, Brandon Santos on bass and Chris Cucinotto on drums. Together they are helping DCAP come into it’s newest shell behind a set of fresh songs that stand for who DAve Crespo is, a man dedicated to local music in Boston and New England.
Since starting his After Party, Crespo has become more than just a musician. He has since become a steady hold in Boston on local music radio shows on the FM dial and on the internet. With his dedication to promoting other local musicians and putting on local rock shows all over New England, DCAP has taken the stories from these sucessess and failures to write songs about DAve Crespo, the local music promoter.
After 7 years of being a band not only has Crespo and his music changed, but so has his After Party and endeavours in local music. DCAP is now entering it’s 4th and most promising transformation.
