Sandra Lilia Velásquez and Sean Dixon, the Brooklyn-based duo behind SLV, embody a collision of worlds. Velásquez serves as frontwoman of lauded Latin outfit Pistolera, while Dixon plays drums in experimental electronic ensemble Zammuto; but together, they’ve carved out an exciting new path for themselves. SLV first emerged from the studio in 2013 with a debut EP, Dig Deeper, produced by heavyweight bassist Meshell Ndegeocello.
