Acerca De Catching Hell

Catching Hell
“Catching Hell’s flavor of Heavy Rock is best enjoyed live. They
put on a SHOW. Just when you think it’s getting too crunchy in
here they switch gears and blow something melodic between
your ears.”
-Bruce McDonald, former Music Director at WFNX
Catching Hell blends elements of Hard Rock, Thrash-Metal, and
Post-Hardcore into a melodic and high-energy sound. Centrally
focused on guitar riffs, their music explores themes of loss,
corruption, healing, and self-discovery.
HISTORY:
In 2015, Michele Morgan and Duncan Wilder Johnson (both of
Destruct-a-thon) began writing new material. Joined by Will
Sullivan on bass and Owen Beane on drums, the group finished
five songs. Ethan Dussault recorded and mixed the EP at New
Alliance Audio in 2019.
In 2023, the band shifted from Will and Owen as the rhythm
section to Charlie Harrold (5ive) on drums and Allyn Martin
(Rippopotamus) on bass. The new lineup enriched the older
tracks while writing new material.
Catching Hell performed their first show on June 23, 2023 at The
Middle East in Cambridge. Since then, they've shared bills with
notable acts, including Scissorfight, Blood Lightning, The Long
Wait, and Honkeyball.
Currently, the band continues to perform live and is in the
recording process for a full-length LP.
